Hello i am new to this site, i have read post and have been very impressed with everyones hard work:D
A bit about myself i am happily married and we have 4 wonderful children, i have just recently started work at a local pre school which i really enjoy.
The problem in my life is money............... we have a reasonably amount coming in each month but it just seems to get wasted.
So i have started this diary to help me organise myself. I need to put everything on direct debit to stop us forgetting to paying them, i also need to stop running from them and putting them at the back of my head thinking they dont exsist!!!!!!
I want to try and get on with this asap...but today i am off to the Zoo with the kids payed for via clubcard so not terrible taking picnic so will try not to spend:rolleyes:
And we are off to portugal next week, so although i will start it will prob be better once we are back from there as we come back on pay day too!!
I suppose i best go as i have prob bored you all enough:D
Speak to you all soon

Morning all.
Today we are off to the bank with mil so she can open an account for the youngest she does it for all of them to start them off. Thinking i may go into our bank and sort out internet banking as everyone on here think its a good idea??
I am going to list my debts but i still need to find out exact figures so here goes
Mortgage arreas of £500 (i am going to sort this one first)
Catalogues totaling about £900
Provident bout £1000 ( i know its terrible)
Llyods credit card £500 (this is from when dh was s.employed and is now with debt company)
He also has another one with debt company fot about £300
My sis has aloan in her name which finishes in jan
MIL has a loan for us which started of about £35,000 but is prob down to bout £22,000 now again from being self employed.
Sounds bad but i think thats it! Just need to decided how i am going to tackle them as they are all quite urgent, my problem is just leaving things and pretending the dont exist!!!! thats why i think i am going to put everything on direct debit.
oh also owe my grandad £200 and have been giving him £50
I feel so much better for doing this already and i aint really done much yet lol
Today i am going to phone these companys to get final figures and do a plan of action.
Need to get some shopping today for picnic in the park tommorrow, also still need to get holiday bits wont spend to much though.
Sorry for going on hope you all have a good day.LBM Aug o9

hi well done on tryin to find out everything you owe - its a good start,i would also find out what the interet rates are and if you can make over payments on any without charges, then when you have it all you can work out your plan
i will have a look later at my surveys etc and let you know some

hi and welcome to the boards, you're right to tackle your mortgage debt first your house is more important.
Internet banking is my saviour i wouldn't be without it. That way i can check each day that everything is as expected, i don't get bank charges cos i've forgotten a transactions, or can move things around so their in the right places. It's all endless fun! lol0 -
Morning everyone another early one with the youngest even though she didnt go to bed til 9 as was out shopping for holiday bits, didnt get nothing for myself as planned as all the shops have winter bits already, i think i will go to the market on sunday and primark (lots of cheap bargins lol) kids wanted to spend there bday money which they have done now.
Today its my sil birthday and we are off to the park, which has a big water park so kids will love that!!!! hoping for a quiter day tommorrow, not holding out much hope in this house!!!! would really like a day to sort some debts out and plan what i will do when we get back from holiday as we are coming back on payday i think its best to have it all planned.
Think i will make a lasagne before i go today to save on getting a take away later!!!
Found out my mortgage arreas are £580, but when my dad found out he said he will help us, feel bad though as he has payed for most of our holiday he said thats what he is there for........bless him
Been thinking about getting a ebay account so i can try to make some money, iam terrible i give everything away! esp all the kids old clothes that no longer fit them but maybe i should start selling them??
Anyway enough from me again, i do go on!!LBM Aug o9

Morning,
Thought I'd pop in and say Hi.
You are doing really well and well done for facing up to your situation.
Hope you enjoy your picnic, it's supposed to rain on and off here today.
Catch you later. x0 -
Morning
I think an ebay account would be a good idea, its really easy to do, just a bit time consuming doing pictures and explanations of items etc,but worth it i've made over £100 since the kiddies finished for summer(tend to sell loads in the hols as this is when i have time as off work), it was mainly clothes and toys they had outgrown.
Have a good day.0
