Blackberry PAYG -Tech question

hi guys,
any techie expert able to tell me this....if I buy this phone
Blackberry 8900 unlocked (did post a link but not allowed as low number of posts, you can find it easy on Amazon).
and stick an existing 02 PAYG sim in it will I be able to get the whole functionality of the phone? Would it work fine and would the charges for web browsing, email and anything else be reasonable? Would they just be the same as the charges on my current phone seeing as the deal shouldnt really change?
I'm on a PAYG deal where top up a tenner activates 300 free texts and normally use the tenner for occasional calls and internet.
Like the idea of the blackberry as could use the wifi at work and home.
