Thank you for your application
This is stage 4 of 4. Please do not use your browser's 'back' button to move back or you may lose some of the information you have already entered.
Next Steps
Your application has been completed. We will advise you over the next few days if your application has been successful. If your application has been successful...- We will send you account documentation for you to check and sign.
- You will need to return this documentation to us (in the provided pre-paid envelope) including the requested identification documentation. (When providing identification documentation please ensure you provide original copies, we will return all documents.)
That looks familiar and is the standard message after submitting the application. If you can be verified electronically you will not have to submit any ID.0 -

LOL, so is that a no then? I assume they will pre-approve me (they always do) and then I get a form to sign, send it back, it ends up at AVU and they then decline me - like usual?.....
I wonder though, this was a current account application that said if unsuccessful they would apply for basic account....
Do you know at the point they write to you which account you're applying for or do you only find out after you return the forms?

Letter arrived this morning advising my Natwest step account was open and Debit Card will arrive in next few day.
This was very easy to set up and Natwest never asked me for more details as i mentioned in my above concerns.0 -
I recently opened a LTSB Classic current account online, they mentioned something about emailing me when successful, but didn't. However they accepted me straight away; my credit file was checked on the day I submitted the application, they sent out my welcome pack on that day as well, I got my card the next day. I'm thinking I may have my PIN and/or Internet banking details waiting for me when I get home tonight.
The funny thing is, I never did get an email :rotfl: They must have been able to verify me electronically, as I haven't had to send any ID or paperwork back. I have got several accounts though, credit and a current account with another bank, so obviously I am who I say I am.0
