I get the feeling that you're a professional thorn in the side of those in [STRIKE]bureaucracy[/STRIKE] authority
knowing soappie as I do, I couldn't possibly comment.... :A
not much flying again here. the bedroom really needs doing...DH os off work friday so hopefully he'll do some then! I'm too tired at the moment - still suffering from a bad cold and work is just about enough. I have to go to Luton tomorrow for work which is not much more of a journey than i have and should be an easyish day

Welcome newbies
Hugs Ashia hope your nausea goes soon
Hugs Zoe, hope you have a better night tonight
Hugs FFP, that sounds really scary. Did you see Crimewatch last night? It was a special on domestic abuse and it was all in Scotland. The police up there take it very seriously and give lots of help and support to the victims so that they can get out of the situation and stay safe.
What Dusty said is wise advice about working out how you can leave and where you would go in an emergency. I’ve heard it suggested elsewhere (and then read someone on here say it too, great minds!) about having a bag of essential documents ready just in case, so if you do leave quickly you have everything you need.
I’m so pleased that the doctor is sorting things out now and that you are taking positive steps to take control of going out and everything. Brilliant that someone is coming round so quickly. PM me or FB me if you want to talk.
I take it the problem with the bank is not so much opening an account, which can be done online with most banks, but getting the money to the bank account without your OH knowing and without having to go outside? My parents bank with Virgin and send off cheques or make online transfers so they never have to go to a branch. Not sure as that would be any good for you though if your OH checks bank statements and wants to know where the money is going…
I am NOT going to write down the recipe for 15’s, I will NOT. I’ve already had too much chocolate today, I must not make 15’s no matter how yummy they sound!
Hi Rachel, how are you? Nice to see you posting for your mum. Why don’t you get your own ID like Miss A and Miss Shattered? They are the DD’s of AnW’s mum and Sarah Shattered. We would love to see you posting
Sexy what a good idea about the stickers to put on postcards for when you are going on holiday, I’m going to do that!
Fedup there is a thing on one of the knitting threads about using old socks to make toys, can’t find it now, but here’s a link to the knitting thing, maybe they will know. I also found a thread suggesting making a draught excluder and using old socks to stuff it with. I’m making cushions (got lots of old wool so knitting two big squares the size I want the cushion to be, sewing together and stuffing) and using old tights to stuff them with, am sure socks would do just as well. I think I might make a draught excluder for the winter, the front door is shocking!
I've had a not too bad day today. DH and I went out this morning but I couldn't get out of the truck.I spose it was a bit too soon to try to go out when I was feeling so low the last few days. DH drove us around and got out at various places to do the things we had gone out to do (just shopping and bits) and then we came home. I've had a nice sleep and feel a bit better this evening. Have hung out washing. Need to try to wash up.
There is a football double bill on tonight which means I get to have the laptop all evening! :j

Don't worry about hitting it - it starts off an e mail so you're safe as long as you don't send it!

Jo - yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh about the interview.....tonnes of good interview vibes will be flying over to you on Tuesday from Mudland!
Flying is dangerous! Which one of you do I sue!!! I made a quick pizza tea for the children because we've been in town all day. Whenever I use the oven I give a quick wipe whilst it's still hot so it never gets too bad.....I must have missed a bit because a crusty black bit jumped up and attached itself to my wrist. Owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! 15 minutes in cold water and it still hurts like crazy. I'm a clown!!!:rotfl:
Fab day shopping with my sister and all the children. DD bought some really lovely clothes and looks gorgeous in them, bless her. How did she get to be so beautiful (am i biased!!!:rotfl:). DS had a great time too and chose some 'cool' clothes with the help of his 15 year old cousin. A lovely day out though I feel guilty for spending money even though I hardly ever do.
I keep clicking the abuse button, smilies don't move properly and the scroll bar at far side of the screen doesn't work properly. Apart from that I like the changes!!!
Hugs to everyone. Off to put a wash on, get children to unload dishwasher and s/s the kitchen. xx0 -
