    Hi all,

We're back from holiday and we had a great time. The sun was shining mostly. We got back late last night and i haven't even unpacked yet:o.
I'm going to have a lazyish day today as i'm shattered we must have walked for miles all together. I'll sort everything tomorrow.

I haven't caught up with all the thread so i hope everyone is ok.
  • Afternoon Fly'ers!

    My list-

Tuesdays Tidemark! ~ Living room, Hall, Stairs and Porch!
    Level One
    [STRIKE]Declutter all the floors
Tidy away the coats and bags and shoes etc[/STRIKE]
    Level Two
    [STRIKE]Vacuum all the floors,[/STRIKE]
    Dust and polish any electricals
    Dust and deweb!
    Level Three
    [STRIKE]Wipe over any paintwork[/STRIKE]
Scrub clean the front door.. inside and out!
    Extras
    1. [STRIKE]Wash any windows in need[/STRIKE]
    2. Wipe over sofas if needed
    3. Clean the mantle.. polish and put back only what is meant to be there
So i'm getting there...I've also just realised the time, thought oh shoot, dinner! So just peeled some tata's and in a huge caserole dish i've chucked the following rubbish out of my pantry

    3tins of corned beef
    tin of peas
    tin of chopped carrots
    tin of red kidney beans
    tin baked beans
    tin chopped toms

Thought i'd use up the last of the tins, only got 6 tins in the cub now, tuna, few soups, sardines and raspberries! I'm intending on mashing up the pot's and sticking em on top to make a sort of variated corned beef hash!

I did another coat of whitewash paint in loui's room and cut in, didnt have the energy to paint the actual colour on though. I'm determind to get it all finished tomorrow! Hey, does anyone know how i can make paint a darker colour? His room is going pastel green but he wants a tree on the wall and was hoping to use the left over light green....just being lazy and frugal but if anyone knows of anything around the house that can be used to darken the paint would be greatly apriciated!

On the subject of the Martin Lewis tv show thingy :money: - Someone posted in here if anyone could help, not sure who it was sorry :o but i went over and sent an email to the 'people of itv' and the producer, Kate called me back and told me she has shortlisted me. Basically they are running a money saving show, and wanted ten top tips for saving money. I've just started making my own wine and Kate was very impressed by this as everyone else who's wrote in was talking about stuff like white vinegar.....etc(personally i think she was more impressed at the fact i make six bottles of rose for about £2.50 tehe) Sooooooooo she going to call back in a few days and let me know if i've made it, then they will come out to the house, film me making the wine etc and we can all have a glass! PLUS One off the top 10 families gets choosen to be in a min seris where Martin and a OS lady comes into the home and spends some time with you making you into a REAL old school'er with her tips!!!!

    Sorry for rambling! x

Valli did you see that a young lady who is a teacher from Ostwaldthistle (sorry not sure if it's spelt like that) was on Golden Balls this evening? She stole all the money at the end so she can have a new kitchen - she won £6000

You could ask on freecycle for a tin of darker green.. or buy a matchpot and mix it into a little of the green you are using

Oh and Rosepink you shouldn't have to be going and sitting in the truck to have a cry - that's very sad :(
well I don't normally but it was the middle of the night and DH was very tired and I didn't want him to wake up

I haven't really achieved much today and am quite knackered this evening - I've no idea why. I just have no energy. I could nod off right now. I keep looking at the throws that are now dry on the line and not doing anything with them. I think I need an early night.
Erm, I do, you're gettting over having flu...

Well, I've done absolutely nothing today. DH gave me a cuddle this morning and wouldn't let me go until I told him what was wrong. Then he reassured me, massaged my neck to ease my headache and after I'd cried buckets he put me to bed and told me not to worry about doing anything for the rest of the day. I gave him my list but he said just cos I wasn't doing it didn't mean he had to do it! LOL! He's very very sweet when I'm feeling so low. Can't work out how he can be that sweet and kind when I'm ill, but then just ignore me the whole time when I'm not ill. Him ignoring me (not intentionally, but he gets wrapped up in his computer game and doesn't talk for hours, he doesn't even hear me talk to him sometimes and doesn't respond even when he has heard me) was what made me think there was something badly wrong and made me feel so unhappy.

Ah well. At least I feel a bit better now. Still a bit wobbly but think maybe he does love me, and at least he manages to show it when I'm low, even if he's a bit rubbish at showing it the rest of the time! :rotfl:

Sorry for blethering on about it, don't really have anyone else to talk to about it. Doesn't feel right talking to someone who knows us about such personal stuff.

Might manage washing up tonight, having steak and chips so that might perk me up a bit!

New to flylady - have looked at it before. Does anyone else feel that shining the sink and getting dressed to your shoes is ridiculous? Apart from everything else if my house is spotless I don't want shoes on my clean carpets! It was these things that put me off last time.

Yeah, we don't have to get dressed on here, I usually don't bother. Fly in my pj's and then get washed and dressed afterwards.

Are you joining in with us now then Patchwork Cat? We are a bit more relaxed than the American site.
