knowing my luck these days its probably all 3!!!
the PC is old by todays standards and basic so very slow but I actually think its the router this time - before i would have said its the ISP and /or line but as I had touched nothing it was very strange - today i tried everything I knew to try and all the connections too but nothing worked and thgen when i was checking the router for the umpteenth time I decided to try the cable in the other way - the connections are the same at both ends so i just turned it around and plugged it in and hey presto i had a connection - so i am wondering if the router or its cable are faulty.
I am going to look at getting a wireless router i think.
    toots xx

Start with the cheapest thing - try a new cable first. I'll see whether I have a spare one, and if so will post it to you. If not, make sure you get a cat 5e cable...

If you want to check whether it's the router, get one from PC World ... and before you pay for it, check that you can take it back if it isn't what you need. I've been checking friends' broadband installations for years this way!

I'm going to try and be a good flylady this week and keep up with the lists - OH is home, so may convince him to lend a hand.
Thanks for the kind words sexy - I will be expecting great things from you now that you have said you will do better this week!!!! Tell Moon from me he has to help so that you both can relax and have time out together or do whatever you want to without one being left to tidy up!
pigpen hope the hospital goes as well as it can - at least we know you have someone to keep any eye on you now!!!
Deceided to take a running jump down the stairs last night, knocked myself out cold and had to have loads of fluid drained off my knee
Spent most of the night in hosp, got out this morning at five and promptly crashed on the sofa due to the pethedine and tramadol they pumped me with. So, yes i'm in for this week, not sure how much im going to be able to get done tho
ZLJ after that little escapade I dont think you should be worrying about housework for a day or 2 I think you will be very sore when the bruising comes out!!! Take it easy if you can and rest (((hugs)))

greenbee thanks for the tip - I am also getting a new phone box installed on tuesday - the last one was on the skirting boards which were ripped out and replaced last week so my connection box is dangling about on the floor at the mo! its possible its a loos wire there but the phone has been working ok. Will get it sorted one way or another as it drives me demented!

The bruising is coming out fantastically lol, but i know if i let this effect me i will go back to being depressed and not move off the sofa, undoing all my hard work. I am determined to get as much stuff done as possible! Thankgod its kitchen tomorrow! I did loads of work in the kitchen yest, and thankfully DH hasn't trashed it today! Soooooooooo-
