  • If you are going to mallorca kep an eye on the local English Daily newspaper - the Mallorca Daily Bulletin, or listen in to the Island's English Radio Station Luna 100.3 (on 100.3 fm) both are great for keeping you up to date.

I wish I was going to Mallorca! If anyone doesn't want to go, send me your tickets!
  • we often think now of terrorism as that of 7/7, 9/11, Madrid, Mumabi, 9/11, Belsan, Indonesia etc etc but ETA's terrorism shouldn't really be compared with that of the Islamists.

If you look at most of the people ETA have killed they have been police and politicians. The largest terrorist attacks in Spains history despite ETA's long history remains that of the Islamists, as with that of England & the IRA.

Hello everyone, I need your advise.
I have a flight booked for the 21 September to Majorca, Myself, Mum Hubby and 4 kids.
Due to the recent bomb attacks there including the one today, we are afraid to go now.
Our flights are booked with Jet2.
Should we go? or Can we get our money refunded from Jet2 because of this.
Please help, I dont know what to do.
    Many Thanks
I have just got back from Majorca and it was no different than any other time we have been. In fact its not mentioned over there and the airport was exactly the same and passport control was quick. The army (i think they were) were walking about with shooters but then again they always do and leaving from our airport in the UK the police there carried 3 times the size guns as in spain.

These things can happen anywhere really.

    Hope you have good holiday.
  • The attacks were timed to coincide with a particular anniversary of ETA (think their founding??? not sure). I had clients there at the time staying just outside Palma - texted them to check they were fine and they hadn't heard anything about it. They had a great time anyway.

Hi just to say that me and my family was actually in Majorca at the time the 2 policemen were killed by the bomb, and i have to say, that we didn't even know anything about it, I know we were in a different resort but still only about 20 miles away, and we flew home 3 days after it, and all was fine there wasn't even a delay at airport, i suggest you go and have a great time, we all wish we were going back
