can anyone confrm they have ported their number from another network to o2 "12 month sim only" deal. I am waiting for my £150 cashback from quidco to track from my orange contract taken out in mid june. i rang yesterday and cancelled my contract as i received the text and had went over my minutes in the last 3 months. I am thinking of ringing back and asking for my pac code and then ordering the 12 month o2 sim only deal again through quidco, tomorrow and then port the number after the 19th August. Would i be able to port the number on a "sim only " deal ? would the £100 sim only deal still track through Quidco if i port my old number.
this all sounds too good to be true........

You can port from any acc type to any other, no problem. As to stuff tracking on Quidco, pot luck. I'm still waiting for a voda contract I took out 2 years ago to pay out. Don't expect any help from Quidco or the network. . .

as jon says - you can port. when you ask for a pac, it should over ride any previous termination requests and the pac code is valid for use for up to 30 days. if you don't use it, your contract keeps going and you a have to ask for a new one. i ported the other way, o2 to orange.it took 2 working days and my contract with o2 ended when the port was actually carried out.

if you're sure you want your pac to port - make sure your contract termination request is removed. once your contract finishes you cannot port a number afterwards.

Because I have ordered an o2 sim card and the number will be different. wasnt sure if you can transfer your number to a "sim only" deal.I will just have to keep the o2 number if i cant port my own number over.

just rang them there and they said my cancellation has gone through, so will have to go with my new o2 number on the new sim.
