The one on the Pear Tree roundabout would be the closest. It was knocked down and rebuilt 3 years ago so it should be clean and tidy but it still isn't that close.

I would echo VickyA's recommendation of smoothhound. I have stayed in many a lovely B & B found on this website.

If you want a good B&B try searching the Rambler's Association website. (you don't have to be a rambler to stay there!) All the ones they list have been recommended by members, and so are usually pretty good, and good value as well. We've not had a bad one yet.

There is a good site that I have used recently recommended to me by a colleague who uses it regularly for business it is called Bed and Breakfast Direct, it has lots of different types of accommodation ranging from small B&B's, Farm Houses and small Hotels.
