Yep, I've heard Vodka is good. You can put it in a spray bottle too, much like you could do with vinegar and mix with water and a few drops of your favourite oil and use it as an air freshener. Seems a waste of vodka though IMHO :eek:GC 2023 June £72/500 NSDs 1/100

Sorry, this is gross.
My youngest was travel sick yesterday and it went all over the back seat of the car. I have cleaned up using hot soapy water. It still smells obviously.
Does anyone have any suggestions please?0 -
Hi Caroline,
These threads have some suggestions that may help:
Getting rid of the smell of vomit!!
Getting rid of milk smells in car
I'll add your thread to the first link later to keep the ideas together.

I had this problem recently, on a fairly major scale!
After realising that there is a smell worse than vomit (it's the smell of Febreeze mixed with vomit!) I tried lots of the tips from on here and in the end found the best solution for me was to cover the area with a bicarb/water paste and then rinse it off the best I could. It took the smell out although a few days later i had to give the area another rinse to get the last of the bicarb out (I was trying not to get it too wet).

Bicarb is best at this IMHO. with six grandkids, we have more than once had to deal with the smell of vomit in the car. It may take a couple of applications, but it will go completely. Unlike using the deodoriser sprays - which only mask the problem until they wear off.0

I've done one application of Bicar and vacuumed it up and it smelt so much better! I've put some more on overnight and will keep doing it until it goes!0

This happened in my car once and I never got rid of the smell til I lifted up the whole seat and the ick had collected underneath (yuk). So give that a try too.Just call me Nodwah the thread killer0
