Don't know about car carpets, but have thrown up on many house carpets in my time!

I've always just used hair shampoo, and a damp cloth. Lost of scrubbing, and keep rinsing out the cloth.

You could use some Bicarb of soda too to soak up the dampness (and smells) afterwards.

It sometimes takes 2-3 applications of the shampoo, to completely remove the smells.

(Thinking about it, as it's a car, you may want to dry the carpet afterwards with a hairdryer - or if it's dry enough leave the door or window open for a bit too, to air it out),

    HTH :)

I've found that some warm diluted disinfectant usually does the trick. Wring the cloth out quite well so it doesn't leave everything too soggy and try to leave the windows open a little.

Remember my dd doing this, we cleaned with disinfectant then sprayed with febreeze. Cleaning it out of the air vents was a bit trickier!!!

Oh my goodness, there really is a thread for everything on this board...this set of links would have come in so handy when my kids were younger and seemed to get every bug going at school!

  • Lou once its clean and dried, sprinkle bicarbonate of soda on it and leave it for a couple of hours the vacuum. You can put it on the matress too. Also, leave a cut lemon in the room too to frshen the air and leave the windows open all day, and the door closed.xxx
