2x 18 month contracts ending soon, advice please?

Hi all,

My girlfriend and i have both had 18 month mobile contracts with 3 and orange respectively and both contracts are due to expire in a few weeks.

I've already approached my provider (orange) and battered them down with a renewal contract that seems really good (although i will try one more time to get them down further before i accept).

My gf has not approached her provider (3) yet but i'll probaby be doing the battering down for her.

My question is this: since we are on seperate providers and both due for renewal is there any way we could get the same great deal for both of us on the same provider if one of us comes over and signs up? She isnt in a rush to come over to orange but i dont mind going to 3 if i get a great deal which is cheaper than the standard tariffs (i.e. a "special" tariff)

I asked in the 3 store yesterday if theres any perks to me coming over and he told we'd both get 30 quid off our bills which is total crap since i'd save more than that with my battered down orange tariff.

Is this a strong position we're in at the moment or should we just stick to our own providers and batter them down individually?

3 would be a good choice for you I think if you are happy with their coverage. Since they offer Skype and free 3 to three calls plus other stuff.

If you go to the three web site - there is an online help thing, its part machine/human responding to your queries - you can ask about what they might offer.

I have done this before (although I didnt go through with deal) and at end of online chat with the 3 sales rep - they offer you £20 accessories voucher.

Plus if your girlfriend recommends you to 3 - then you each get £35 or something (that scheme ends on 1st sep 2009 I think).
