Morning all. Meant to stay sunny here down south. Hope so just hoping to pop around to the beach this p.m. Got to do a bit of housework first. Thankfully did some of it yesterday and the ironing which leaves most of today free.

Had a lovely syn free lunch with my friend yesterday. It was good to catch up as I hadnt see her for ages. Cheered me up no end. Cannot say that for today as for some reason I feel grumpy oops must be careful not to bite OH head off today.

    Have a good sunday everyone.

    Morning all,

Half sunny and half cloudy here today not sure what its going to do :confused:I have the bedding in the wm so will hang it out anyway.

We ended up round at my sisters yesterday for dinner, it was all a bit last minute, but we had a delish veggie meal, the statrer was baked beetroot, which I have done before, but its lovely. And then we had taglitelle, mixed with runner beans, steamed sliced new potatoes and pesto, and then my bil made us all lemon and sugar pancakes, it was a lovely evening, we also had hm pear gin and hm sloe gin

Not sure what we are eating today, will go and look at my list in a while.

General tidy round this morning, and I would like to get the grass cut.

Marie, hope you are ok after your shock yesterday xx

Bitsy well done to your DH :T, that is a fantastic amount to raise xx

    Have fun all x

Smoky, it's wonderful to "see" you. xxx
Marie, I'm so sorry to hear about the car. I hope you can still get to Kerry. I have great childhood memories spent there on the beaches.
    Well done to Mr Bitsy.

    :hello:Morning!

I woke early so have already been to church, a nice surprise for DH when he comes downstairs in a minute expecting to give me a lift :p There's a craft show in the local park toady and apparently there are "lifestyle stalls" so we are going to see if any of the local car dealers are there, in hopes of finding a suitable one for when we need to order our next Motability car in October - it would save trekking round the showrooms! Which reminds me, Diva, good luck with the grant. Our neighbour got a grant of £!000 a couple of years ago to fund the advance payment on a 7-seater Picasso - it was the only one with a sill low enough for him to get his leg over, as it were :p but the advance payment on one of those is a lot higher now so goodness knows what he'll do next time round!

Marie - So sorry to hear about your car, what a horrible thing to happen, especially when you were about to go away in it (((HUGS)))

Bitsy - Well done to your OH :T

Pippa S. - So glad the wedding went well x

Welcome to our new posters :hello: and returning ones :hello:

halight -fingers x'd for you about work, and someone else, sorry I can't remember who :o was going to have an interview so fingers x'd for you too!

I hope all the poorly people are starting to feel better!

I think dinner will be pasta bolognese as there's some bolognese sauce in the freezer, so nice and quick and easy for a hot day (at least, it will be quick if I remember to take the sauce out )

    Morning all,

I am gladdened to see that the Aussie's are at last playing cricket and teaching those pesky Pom's just how good they can play. :p:D
On the home front it's been a nice day and I've been doing some gardening this morning. After lunch I've been doing sewing. Don't ask.

DGS is at his father's place & I'll be picking him up Tuesday arv. DS2 leaves tomorrow from his week off. He'll be back in 3 weeks. It's a public holiday here tomorrow, although it's never a public holiday for me. I work every day. ;):D I plan on doing some baking.

Marie That's awful. Hope you got to Kerry.
Haribo What sort of childhood memories? :D
Bitsy Well done to Mr Bitsy.

Off to have a shower & watch the cricket. :D Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Hello One & All

At work at the moment. Sundays are always nice and quiet.

Got a bit of a sore throat this morning but I blame alarm clock anticipation for that. Hardly any sleep at all with the clock watching - up at 5am. Planning on having a nap when I get home.

I made some more cards last night, which I'm very happy about.

Dinner tonight is chicken thighs in a mushroom (soup) sauce, mushrooms & rice. Although I might see if I have what I'd need to do Jamaican chicken instead, as I've not had that for a while.

Got the thrilling task of getting petrol yet again today. I have to fill up every other day working where I do. But I shan't complain as it's work which is very much appreciated.

    Hope everyone's ok

Richfield Avenue is still dry at the moment Stef, I can give you my mobile number & if you get too soggy, you can come & dry out at mine, we have rain forcast for next week, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
I remember my DS coming back from Glastonbury he was either caked in mud or red as a lobster.
I must make sure hubby eats at the table today, yesterday he grazed all day & this morning complained that he was hungry as he hadn't had proper meals yesterday. He had a full cooked breakfast, a plate of warmed up chinese, a burger in a bun with bacon in it, a plate of chicken pieces, 6 or 7 mini scotch eggs, some chocolate biscuits & 2 packets of crisps!!!
    And he's still skinny!
