Honestly, they shouldn't wear sparkly pink dresses in their ads, it should be a mask and a stripey jumper.

I think it was last year we had a thread about an Australian woman over here for 12 months and needed to insure a car.

Sheila's Wheels declined to quote :rotfl::rotfl:

@ lisyloo...... "We got quotes for policies saying we had access to other cars which was incorrect." Irrespective that you answered yes you have access to other vehicle. Bet all it said on the final quote was Driving Other Cars - Yes..... Which is standard for all fully comp policies if policyholder is 25 or over and is not in motor trade. Does not mean you do drive other cars just means you have third party only cover to drive another car.

Diesel - Thanks for your comment.s

I am aware of the difference between claiming access to other vehicles/cars in the household and the DOC (driving other cars) extension.

I can't prove it but as my husband saw it as well, I am pretty certain we didn't both mix it up and get it wrong.
I believe the comparison site mis-translated our claim to have access to other vehicles in the household, to access to other cars.

It's just a waring to check eveything carefully when using comparison sites. You cannot relay on them to relay the information correctly, you have to check.

I'm surprised with the three claims that you have found a premium cheaper than last year.

Have you entered the three claims as all being "fault" claims as this is how they need to be declared.

How much no claims bonus have you declared to the new Insurer

After four years with the same insurer?
I not suprised they have a cheaper quote after shopping around even with three fault claims.

    @ the OP you stated

"When the third incident happened I specifically asked the operator if I was to make claim would this affect my No Claims Discount or premium on renewal and he advised me it would not. I would not have made the third claim if I had been made aware of this possibility as this was cosmetic and I either would not have got it fixed or would have used savings."

Their policy booklet does state the following however

"This benefit only applies to your no claim discount - it does not protect the premium you pay and we may take account of claims when calculating your premium."
