  • I have the regular iPhone 3G. I can use mp3's as my ringtones, but can't change my SMS tone which sucks. As for the email, it checks for new emails every 15mins.. You can set it to whatever time you want under the settings menu.

It's easy to make ringtones on iTunes for free. Just google it. :)

You can also use myxer. You can use your own songs you've downloaded/bought/etc & can pick the specific part of the song you want. It's easy and best of all, FREE.

Er, you don't need any extra software, it can all be done using iTunes and a few simple steps - once again, for free. Don't download software you don't need.

Myxer doesn't require you to do download anything & you don't need a manual to figure out how. You go to the site, upload your song, adjust it to how you want, & voila. *edited* Where you linked, it has you input the start & stop time.. What if you don't know exactly how many seconds/minutes into the song it is that you want? Myxer allows you to listen to the song and adjust it accordingly. Only takes a few steps.

Go to site > Browse Song > Upload > Adjust > Send to iTunes
  • You can use iringer to do your own ringtones and this also puts it straight into iTunes for you aswell!!! It is wicked.
