Any suggestions where to try in Belfast, preferably cheap as I want 3 phones unlocked?

Try the Freebies board as there is an extensive topic there on unlocking phones for free. :)

These are ones that can not be unlocked by a remote code (I've done Nokias myself), therefore I need a shop with the right hardware.
    Phones are:
    - Sharp GX15
    - Samsung E700
    - NEC e616v

    Any ideas?

Is there still a Dunmorris in Fountain Street? They might do it. Also the Mobile accessory stalls in Castlecourt can do it as well but I'm not sure of any prices or anywhere else. Try looking in classified ads as well maybe.

Also check that thread again. I may be wrong but I'm nearly sure I saw that someone had unlocked their Samsung E700.

    Thanks NDK.

It's actually an E300 - I confused myself by reading the Argos Sale thread which mentions the E700 - which can be unlocked remotely.

I'll try the one's you mentioned.

try this for the e700 (it works on most of them)

    E700 UNLOCK CODE
    Unlock Code
    Code 1: *2767*688#
    Code 2: #*7337#

    Entering Code instructions
    1. Take out the SIM card from the phone and switch the phone on.
    2. Enter code 1 code into your handset.
    3. Now replace your SIM card and turn the phone on.
    4. Your handset should now be unlocked.
    5. If your handset is still locked then follow the same procedure but entering
    code 2 instead.
If the above fails to unlock your handset we have 2 alternatives which you may use below.
    1st Alternative Solution:
    1. Turn off your phone, put in a SIM of a provider that it is not locked to, and turn it back on.
    2. At the wrong card message, type *#9998*3323#. A message will pop up telling you to press exit, so hit the right softkey.
Choose number 7. Your phone will reboot and your SIM will work.
    3. Type *0141# and then hit call. This will give you a message saying your phone is personalised.
    4. Power down your phone and insert a SIM card other than the one that is in it. Power back up your phone.
    5. At the SIM code prompt type 00000000, that is 8 zeros.

Test your phone with a different SIM card to see if it is unlocked. If unlocked the procedure is completed.

    2nd Alternative Solution:
If after using the above two solutions has failed to remove the lock on your handset it is possible that your handset
may have a second security lock.
This extra lock is placed on certain Samsung handsets and unfortunately it’s impossible to know this before hand.
However here is another solution which you can try.
Power on the mobile phone without SIM card inside and type these codes:

    *2767*63342# and press green button
    *2767*3855# and press green button
    *2767*2878# and press green button
    *2767*927# and press green button
    *2767*7822573738# press green button.

you can try this on the gx15 if its on voda although ive never tried this myself so its at your risk
The handset can only be unlocked with a Vodafone SIM card in the phone.

    * From front screen type *01763*6371# ==>*01763*MEP1#
    * The handset will reset back to the main Vodafone screen
    * Press M button.
    * Scroll to "Settings" and press SELECT.
    * Scroll to "Security" and press SELECT.
    * Scroll to "MEP locks" and press SELECT.
    * Enter your Handset Code (the default code is 0000)*and press OK.
    * Scroll to "Network" and press SELECT.
    * Scroll to "Deactivate" and press SELECT.
    * Enter 540906612906 and press OK
    * Handset should then display DONE and be unlocked

    E700 UNLOCK CODE
Haven't got the E700 at the moment..

    ...........

Tried this, though bit confused by the instructions -

I typed in the bit before ==> and it went back to the main screen. The bit after ==> didn't appear nor could I input it (don't know what I was supposed to do).
I was able to continue with the remaining instructions, however it came back with invalid code at the last step.

    Thanks for posting anyway.

you wasting your time on the gx15, that solution has been posted over and over again for a year now, the number above is specefic to each handset, that code will only ever unlock the handset for which it was supplied.

if you get stuck i can do all 3 models for you via special delivery for a reasonable price

The place in Northcott centre (Glengormley) does 'em for a tenner.

Got my son's GX10i unlocked there a few weeks ago.
