Feeling sad

Hi. I just wanted to post a quick update for everyone who was good enough to reply to my thread.
My partner left 3 days ago. He continued to try and manipulate me to the end, but once he realised that I wouldnt give in he soon decided that he needed to get away as 'he couldnt cope with my mood swings' any longer.
Whilst I am very sad, I am also relieved that I now only have 2 children to look after instead of 3, and I can look forward to building a decent future for me and the children with hopefully regular contact for them if he keeps his promise to stay in their lives.'And our dreams will break the boundaries of our fears'0 -
Hi
Well done.
On a very practical note.
Information the council so that you get single persons reduction.
Do you have any joint accounts with him?
If so, you either need to close them (if they are in credit), take your name off them or to write to the account holder and tell them that all future debits have to be authorised by both signatories.
Is there any chance that he has access to account details for your accounts or any in the childrens' names?
Is his name on either the tenancy agreement or the house deeds? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
GOOD FOR YOU! I'm sure the end of this part of your life must be a great relief. You've been very, very brave and I take my hat off to you, I really do.0

Hi, thanks for the post. Have applied to the council for reduction, and any joint accounts have been closed or his name removed from them. He does not have any access to the childrens accounts and never has. The only outstanding issue is to have the mortgage transfered into my name only and that process is under way but takes 6-8 weeks. He is very keen for this to go through as he does not want any liability to pay it so I'm sure he will sign the paperwork!!'And our dreams will break the boundaries of our fears'0 -

Thank you. Its been one of the most awful times of my life but the children come first and we've already had 3 days with no tears at all from my son because his dad isnt around to shout at him.'And our dreams will break the boundaries of our fears'0 -
