I've only used Kiwk Fit a couple of times but I've found them alright to be honest. I got my service and MOT done there about a year ago and it sailed through both with no further issues. They did offer to change the brakes but I declined and did them myself.
Personally I'd always consider changing the brakes yourself, they are a really easy part to change, your getting the best value and parts and you know the job is done properly.
I rest my case m'lord:rotfl:I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

I don't really see what the issue with this is though, any garage would have done the same, as Im fairly sure it's standard practice to report such things during a service and MOT.
I knew they were low anyway, so I was expecting this, but I always intended on changing them myself so didn't need their help. Their offer was fair though and I would use them again if required. My dad also used the same kwikfit and had a similar report.0 -

Well quite simply they passed the mot so where judged fit for use, but then they chanced their arm to see if you would replace them anyway. If they needed replacing it should have failed, they can't have it both ways.
Yes my views are a little biased against them, largely based on a incident at my local branch, the numpty who was trying to free an exhaust bolt with oxy/acetylene kit managed to burn through the fuel pipe. He survived but did manage to blow himself straight through the plate glass window of their town centre workshop.:eek:
Their labour force seems to be semi skilled at best. You were right in the 1st place, if you can do it yourself then do so;)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
