Ive just spoke to the clubcard deals department to express my disapointment with the decline in deals and virgin/cosmos changes,i also asked about clubcard+ and they said it will be 1 point per £1 spent(same as now)but tesco will award 2points per £1 spent, the rewards will start to decline even more in the near future.
Also anyone noticed how tesco petrol prices have increased more than other supermarkets in the last week, local sainsburys up 1p a litre, tesco up 3p a litre in the last week, probably to accomodate the extra point.

Member02, could you clarify for me please - with a clubcard plus you currently get 1 ordinary point per pound and one 'tpf' point per pound, i.e. 2 points per pound.
With the new scheme, would that be 2 ordinary points per pound and still one 'tpf' point, making a total of 3 points per pound?
Or are they still completely doubling up making it 4 points per pound?

    Thanks

That would be nice but I'm worried that there will be no difference between clubcard and clubcard plus ie you only get 2 per £ making clubcard plus redundant

Thats what I originally thought but I wasn't above, guess I should have put that as an option aswell! Still I guess if it does work like that at least it saves carrying the extra card around. Silver lining and all that...

Clubcard Plus customers will get 3 points per pound (from the official Q&A which customer service staff have been provided with) ;)

Omg, what has happened to me....my day is "made" when I find I get an extra 1p on my current pound at Tesco (3p per pound, 3%, if Topshop had a 3% sale, I'd laugh, I would not bother.......I think I need to get out more!:rotfl:)

I think the catches have already started,virgin/cosmos have apparantly increased prices to cc users and implemented a threshold on amount each passenger can use starting from 1st september, the new cinema scheme is £3 of deal vouchers for a £5-7 cinema ticket along way off 4x,the double up instore is getting pushed alot more than the deal partners 4x,alot of the deal partners eg harry ramsdens, yates, haven, pontins have left the scheme.as posters say above this is for tescos benefit not ours, deals WILL be cut(my opinion)
The problem is that it's up to the other companies to join the scheme and remain in it, that isn't really under Tesco control. The only thing that appears to have affected a lot of companies limiting/leaving has been the exploitation of teh scheme through flaws etc. that has no doubt stung the companies that expected to see a certain amount of usage throughthe scheme but in the end found it not viable, Motorpoint springs to mind, likewise the holiday companies in particular(probably killed MFI to be honest as well, half our house furnishing was funded by that a few years back)
