    Morning Dots,

I know how you feel love - you want to blast those debts, but maybe you're being a bit zealous. Come at it from the other side - basics first, then anything that's left at the end of the month is debts, factoring in any minimums obviously. I have my diary alongside my spreadsheet, and I write down what's due out on what day - the Fran PLan tells me what's due out that week, but Ive been caught by bank charges going out Monday, when WTC goes in Tuesday.

You just need to take it steady for the first few months, until things have settled down with the budget.
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Hey Obi - your right (as usual)...think im trying to focus on getting rid of the bebts so quickly that everything else is suffering - no money day to day etc...going to have to review budget next month anyhow after i get infor from tax credits as to how much were entitled too - other than that need to think of ways of upping our income if they do go down significantly...it never ends does it.

Head on over to up your income board. Become a Piggy (pigsback) and the vouchers you get from that that should at least put something towards Xmas. If you want to do daily clicks, head on ove to referrals board to help out a fellow DFW :)

It's only a trickle, but lots of trickles become a river

morning all - wuite dissapointed this morn - checked online banking and still O/D by 19.97(due to bak taking charges and making me overrawn!) - thought my tax credits may have gone in early as a few ppl on the boards have had this happen this week but ho hum - looks like another day of relative poverty...I'm sick and tired now - went on CCCS site and input the figures i think im looking at when TC goes down and they cant even offer me a DMP because they say my income doesnt even cover my prioroty debts - what am i to do - i cant carry on like this - ive been stupid and i dont know what to do - were living on nothing even though we both work full time and hard - i need to get this sorted out but if i prioritise as i should then my debt payments will go down, i.e paying Capquest £180 per month on egg loan (18,000.00!!) and im not sure they will accept anything lower - help me please!!

Evening Dotty looks like I have missed you again. Sounds like you are feeling a bit down at the mo.

Have you posted a recent SOA to see if there is any room for saving some pennies?

    Morning Dots,

Look, they can't have what you don't have. I reckon you've gone ar2e about face. I pay Barclays £50 a month on 19k, becuase that's what I can afford. You re obviously distressed, so redo your budget - give your own bills priority, then what's left gets split on the debt, not the otehr way round. You can negotiate wih Egg, you can't renegotiate mortgage/council tax!!

Write to your creditors and tell them that you've had a change of circumstances, and this is what you can afford to pay. They will probably not be happy, but THEY CAN'T HAVE WHAT YOU DON'T HAVE. Include a copy of your budget with your offer, and tell them that if things change, obviously you'll pay more.

It's no good blasting your debts if you're not covering the basics. No-one in their right minds would expect you to live on £10 a week. Seriously, reconsider the priorities. Be a bit selfish - you need to take care of the family before you pay Egg's MD's annual bonus.
