I managed to cancell 1 of my contracts no problem, but they said I couldn't cancel the other as it hadn't gone outside its minutes???
is that right?

Damn, just got of the phone and no luck.

The lady said I hadn't used any 0870 numbers in the past 2 months and even if I wanted to take it further I could but that their legal team had checked the contracts.

The change has nothing to do with 08 numbers. Read through the thread above, you will be able to get out of your orange contract.
