replacing old rad with towel version in bathroom

Hiya - my mum wants to replace her old rad in her bathroom & have a nice chrome towel radiator - does anyone know how we work out the right size for her space as we need to know what btu(?) size we need - thanx

    I'd suggest measure the size of the old rad, look up on screwfix or some such how many btu one like your old one would be, and compare new towel rads with this. Assuming your old rad isn't something weird!

    Unless your bathroom is very small it is difficult to get a towel radiator to put out sufficient heat to warm a room - particularly when it is draped with towels.

    You could consider a towel radiator in addition to your existing radiator. Also an electric towel radiator can make sense.

    I agree! A towel rail is not enough to heat even a small bathroom I'd stick with a rad if i had my time again.
