Is there anyone I can complain to & can the store legally do this?

Yes it was BLOCKBUSTERS!!!!

The old woman who initially served me appears to be nasty to everyone, evil woman.

I returned to the store as there is only 1 locally that stocks games and they have had some good deals in the past. The guy & young female manager who work there have been really cool in the past, chasing stock and repairing disks for me that were scratched.

I think it was a new manager at the time. Also I tried to get it for the marked price, but was refused, not much more I could have done in-store.

I have complained to Blockbusters as mentioned. If I can contact them via phone (for free using my free weekend calls or something) is it worth the bother of calling? Will I actually get anything back, e.g. a coupon or even a sorry?

If you want a complaint to be taken seriously, put it in writing (this means a letter, not email) to the store and head office, making sure you let the store know it is also going to head office.

Google (or there's possibly a thread on the MSE boards somewhere) about how to write an effective complaint letter.

Blockbuster staff for the most part in my experience are awful. One of the reasons I haven't walked in one of their establishments for the last 10 years.

I am currently milking their 30 day free home rental trial though. Part of my payback.
