Hi this is my 1st post and I need help,
I recently went to a major video store (not sure I can name them here) and the staff member was verbally abusive. I purchased 2 pre-owned games and was refused a look at the disks, then I notice she tried to give me a damaged disk (it had marker per scribbled on both sides). She was abusive when I asked her to change it and then I didn’t get a credit card receipt, due to a machine fault (that she admitted was their fault). However when I asked for a copy she said it was ‘MY FAULT AND THAT OF MY BANK’ and continued to blaim me about it till I left the store.
THIS IS THE MAJOR ISSUE THOUGH. I then returned to the store a few days later and was served by a different member of staff. I selected two titles from their 2 for £20 (GoW2 and GH3) range, but on going to the till the staff member removed the price from one of the games stating ‘the manager had decided to withdraw all copies of this title for 24 hours and then they will be put back on the shelf at £20, so you can buy them for £30 instead of £20 or you can just leave them’. I asked it I could not buy them for the £20 for good customer relations as they laughed at me.
Can they do this as there were multiple copies on the shelf all priced at 2 for £20 (the exact same titles I tried to buy). I have tried to complain via email to the stores online customer service and via their online form for complaints. They claim they will answer everyone within 48 hours but it has been over a week since my e-mails.
What can I do?? Is there anyone else I can complain to?
Thanks

Yes, they can do it.
The simple answer is to shop somewhere else - their customer service obviously isn't up to much.0 -

Probably Gamestation, I don't think Game give out separate credit card receipts but Gamestation do.0

OP said it was a video store so maybe it is Blockbuster. They aren't very quick at answering emails.0

Branches of GAME are annoying at the moment. Their staff pounce on you as soon as you walk in offering help. I was gaming before most of them were born and I have a range of consoles so I like to browse. If I want help I'll ask for it. I guess their profits are down due to Amazon and Tesco.0

Not very good CS though is. No one OP feels disappointed and upset. So would I.All my views are just that and do not constitute legal advice in any way, shape or form.£2.00 savers club - £20.00 saved and banked (got a £2.00 pig and not counted the rest)Joined Store Cupboard Challenge]0

After the service you received first time round, I'm amazed you went back to the store at all. Bearing in mind what happened, could you not have gone to a different shop?
If a shop treated me that way I'd be damned if I was going to give them any more of my cash...It's wouldn't have not wouldn't of, shouldn't have not shouldn't of and couldn't have not couldn't of. Geddit?0 -
if it was Blockbuster I'd complain, Blockbuster is very much into Great Customer Service at the moment, so treating a customer like that is wrong and just not good at all.
The whole 'wrong priced' game is out of order and I would have demanded they give u the game at that wrong as its there fault its priced like that.0
