I've only just read this thread and I've found it really interesting. I do hope you keep postingMortgage Free in 3-T2 : Started at £151,000 Nov. 2009 Mortgage Free Oct 1st 2015

Haven't posted in a while as work has been stupidly busy and, as a consequence, a lot of my good intentions have slipped! (e.g. takeaways rather than the "rainbow-coloured" healthy meals, being too lazy to research stuff and ending up buying things dearer than I know I could have got them for).
I've been lurking on the MSE Forum and this seems to be a relatively common thing. People (like me) starting off excellently and then, for whatever reason, falling off the bandwagon.
So, my task for the week is setting myself some kind of strategy for when I'm too busy with life, work etc to put the effort into saving money. Not an easy task.... Anyone got any ideas they can share?£5 per day challenge

Try some post-it notes on the fridge or in your purse as a gentle reminder ,along the lines of 'SAVE IT DON'T WASTE IT '
it may help. I am a great beliver that if you write something down and prop it somewhere that you are likely to see it it will jog your memory
I stick reminders on the dashboard of my car,on the fridge ,in my purse, in fact anywhere that I glance at in passing.
I even have a post-it on my computer to remind me to switch it off at the mains when I sign off.I never leave anything on standby if I can help it0 -
