Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
I am in need of a very basic cheap mobile phone that is on PAYG. It will be used for incoming calls. Are there any offers around.

Thanks

  • My OH has just bought a Tesco mobile phone for£35. very basic but small, light and neat. Really nasty ring tones though and doesn't accept downloads so you are stuck with them. Otherwise seems a pretty good phone.
  • Another thought, try your local freecycle someone may have one they want to get rid of. (or a teenage relative who's just got the latset model) and the take it somewhere that will unlock for about a tenner then buy a sim card for the provider of your choice.

Just got a Nokia 2600 on Vodafone PAYG - nice little 'phone. No camera, no internet, no television, no built-in dishwasher - just a telephone ! £35 off the web-site.

Best deal around would have to be the easymobile.com Nokia 1100 with £31 of credit for £30 delivered - simply the best basic phone (all IMHO).

Glad it helped - to develop the idea further, it should be easily unlocked for free & a free sim of the incoming person/people's network, could help them save a fortune too. ;)
