Hi all, I promised son if he did well in his Standard Grades I'd upgrade TV package and let him have his tv in his room. Glad to report he's done well so now have to organise it and don't want to be ripped off. He would like his TV package to include Sky Sports 1 and Paramount Comedy.
I just have basic Virgin package at mo. When I phoned the guy said there would be £100 charge to move it to his bedroom and that I would be best with XL at £13.50 per month but I don't really want millions of channels though, there's enough rubbish on at the moment!
Any advice gratefully received.

Are you currently mid-virgin contract or at the end? Do you want to/mind paying for both sky and virgin in your house?
The sky installation package would be more competitive than that with multi-room. If you are near the end of your Virgin contract, how much do you pay for Phone, Broadband and TV at the moment. I'm sure many of us can work out the best deal for you from that

I've been with Virgin for years so have no contract as such. Have broadband and telephone with them. Can't afford both Sky & Virgin. On a very competition rate I think at moment, ie £18 per month for broadband and my landline phone bill is around £55 per month.
Does this give you enough to go on? Thanks.0 -
You'll have a 12 month renewable contract with Virgin regardless (from the Telewest/NTL takeover) - everyone falls into that trap!!! So if you're mid-contract it'll cost you to get out.0
