NRPP's

Do any of you feel this has changed you as a person?
I was always a happy go lucky caring person. Have for years volunteered at charities and always been mindful of the way I treat people.

The BFH has made our lives so difficult with her constant threats (many directed at our children!!) that I feel I have reached the point of no return!
I no longer "care" whether she has enough money to feed her shopping habit and I no longer "care" about being amicable or fair!!
Upon legal advice we have discovered we have been overpaying her for years but we were happy to continue to do so provided she used the money for the children and started to be more amicable ....... but she has decided that she wants MORE!!!

Are some people just so bitter that they will hang off you like a leech with no pride or dignity??

Been there... done that... got that T shirt!!! I have 2 bitter ex`s and they have been the bane of my life... One can no longer make our life a misery but it does get better... i promise..
  • Thanks. I am mentally counting down until the day she can't have any money off us and has to actually support herself:rotfl::rotfl:

Funny thing is if she hadn't messed us around and been amicable she would have been much better off financially, but she has crossed me for the last time now and i will make sure she gets no more than we legally have to pay:T

Ours had years of payments only to turn around to csa and say we had not paid thus leaving us with over 5k of arrears... we cold not prove we had paid as it had always been in cash. I am also a PWC and me and my ex are very amicable. I do not give him or his partner any hassle at all, whats the point, you just loose your self respect and look jealous and bitter. Life is too short to spend it being angry and bitter. Keep your chin up and do not let her see she is bothering you, that will hurt her more... Good luck... x

    OMG:mad:
How can these "people" call themselves parents??? Surely you have children because you want to be a parent not just to line your pocket???

Any "real" parent would realise that you don't make money out of a child (in fact the opposite is true!!)

Our pwc sounds similar to yours in that she is particularly dishonest. Everyone always says in these situations to "do the right thing" but for those of us that have been doing the "right thing" we are no better off:rolleyes:

I am so grateful that the PWC involved with us doesn't appear to be interested in swindling us for all the money she can get .... yet LOL We are in the very early stages. ;)

She is lucky enough to not need our child maintenance for the day to day upkeep involved with bringing up a child as she works full time, still lives at home and has family do all of her childcare. Our child support is through a private agreement and goes straight into the child's bank account for her future.

I feel for any NRP households at the mercy of the CSA and their ridiculous system who cannot afford the sums that are being demanded, who are willing to pay child support at a level they can afford privately.

Wow - you are defo one of the lucky ones!!;)
Our pwc has told us on numerous occasions that she has no intention of ever returning to work...... she doesn't have enough of a brain to realise that these payments will end at some point and the way she has treated us I will take great delight in her having no income and being forced to work!!
    me bitter????;)

And then, when the child is old enough and the child support stops, he/she will know that his father and step-Mum have contributed to their upbringing and that their bio-Mum has sat on her backside all their life and has absolutely nothing to show for it now, other than a child who would have more respect for their parents if they had some respect for themselves.

And that day, all your bitterness will disappear and will be replaced with pity ;)

The CSA is used in many cases by both parties as a weapon rather than a means of supporting a child/children.

I couldn't agree more, although in our case she will be much worse off. A pure case of what happens when you are too greedy.

I agree, but I prefer to think of it as Karma, or "as ye sow, so shall ye reap"
