I use TopUpNow (a trading name)
Their premium number for charging the account is 0911 0335533

Does anyone know the trading name of the company that use 0911 0335335
This is the premium rated number that I mis dialled and lost money.

    Thanx

Could not find the trading name of the company that own 09110335533.
But sent the details to five email addresses that may be connected, however remotely.

Yeah! Yeah! I know that I paid by mistake and that the sum involved is small but this is kind of excercise is intended to sort out the good, bad and the ugly.
Important for consumers when dealing with companies outside the UK jurisdiction.

Both numbers pertain to the same company, but whether they are actually in use is a different matter.

According to the TopUpNow website, it uses 09110 331 331, though it's possible they previously published others which still work

    amongst sister companies Teletop uses 0911 033 2525, and Topupdiscount 0911 0335 335

perhaps you've set up an account with a different brand - not too surprising as it seems difficult to keep track of the changing details in your posts
  • The names Finarea and Betamax keep popping up when it comes to poor quality and non existent customer support....but there is hope!

If you've had problems with any of their multiple front companies that require top ups via 091 numbers, you can call 0800500212 and complain.

I'm having an uphill struggle with the regulator now because mine is the only complaint they have, but if he all stop taking it on the chin, then they'll open a formal complaint process.

I bet I'm not the only one they ripped off!

Perhaps the URL and/or e-mail address was incorrect? I've never seen a URL ending with uk.com!

It is a device used by downmarket companies to make them look like international .com businesses rather than ordinary .co.uk businesses.

  • Thanks 'rodeline' for that.

My latest experience is when a Betamax company dishonoured '120 free days' that was offered when paying. It was reduced to '90 days' on my page. This is despite their website was still offering '120 free days'.
When I complained they simply edited '120 free days' to '90 free days'.
Breech of contract, none the less.

From the number of posts all over the net that not responding to customer complaints is a common place practice by Betamax / Finarea.

As they are outside our jurisdiction small claims procedure is out of the question. May be regulator can be persuaded if enough people make the effort.
