PAC at alater date

I have just cancelled with orange and my PAC is in the post, I want to get an iphone over the weekend so would like to port my number over at a later date, can this be done?

    PAC is valid for 30 days.

    Yeah. Just make sure you give 02 the PAC code as soon as you get it (within 30 days as macman said).

    OP hang on, reading again you said you've cancelled with Orange. That is not the same as requesting your PAC. Which did you do?
    PAC is just a 30 day option to cancel.
    If you cancel then you lose the number.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    Ah sorry, I told orange I wished to conacel my contract and requested the PAC code which they said would come within 5 days and is valid for 30.
