How do I find out if it is a 2g or 3g sim card...

    Check long number on Sim card. On the 5th line mine starts with 3G.....This is same on both my 3G cards

    throw it out a window if it lands logo side up its 2g if it lands gold metally side up its 3g

    You can request one for free from o2 if you haven't received a new sim card in the last 2 years or so if I remember correctly. When I requested for mine last month they tried to charge me £10. I told them i thought it should be free and the lady said "oh yes...." since I had the 2G card for over 3 years. Dial 202 from your phone and find out.

    Thanks, just called and ordered one, no charge.

    Just need to copy everything from the sim card to the phone memory before inserting the new sim when it arrives.
