Best place for cheap SIM-free phones?

Hi guys
Does anyone know of any decent sites where one can purchase sim-free mobiles. Ebay is always an option but its a potential minefield. (Triple Nectar points until the end of April though - so I can take the risk of being fleeced for that!)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome
Apparently Nokia has just launched an online shop, but perhaps it might not be counted as the cheapest.
Usually, payg phones are locked to a network, and subsidised to a cheaper price than SIM-free phones. Most, but not the latest, Nokia phones can be unlocked for free with a generated code. There are members of MSE that can do this for you, on a thread at the top of the board.
If you hadn't decided which phone to go for, I'd look at Nokias, avoiding those on 3 who have taken extra measures. Then buy one on a network, use any credit or give the SIM away, and unlock the phone. This would save typically £20 or £300
