Thanks LemonTree, SH and BTD!
Still inclined to pay off as much debt as I can rather than treat myself. Especially now it looks as if I can make my planned BFD if I throw all I can at it!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -

Yes- am starting to feel excited that I might make my Dfd after all! My new year plans can include starting some savings. Am looking forward to buying a place with oh too. I am so lucky! A tough year in many ways but I've been given the strength to get through so far. Hopefully next year I can keep slowly building on my progress. Merry Christmas to anyone reading- thanks for the support. I would never have made it this far without support from the lovely people on here. Xxx2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0

Time for an update for the end of the year!
:j
I'm still hoping to be debt free for my birthday in April but it will be very tough! Hopefully I will at least clear the cc even if I have to work at the OD for a bit longer!
£3847.49 left to clear in just over 100 days! _pale_
I haven't been writing here much but I've been thinking lots! Will be back later with an update on my plans to get to my DFD.2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
Hello Jellie
Hope you had a lovely Christmas. I am just catching up on here again with my favourite diaries and sorting out my subscriptions - preparation for the new super organised me in 2010 - ha ha. Really pleased about your house sale - that's absolutely great news. Do you have a date yet? I'm in Scotland so know it's all a bit different across the border - I think you are aren't you?
Saw you have joined up to the crazy clothes challenge - IT'S OFFICIAL - WE ARE MENTAL! This is year 2 for me - year one I failed miserably somewhere round about May or June I think LOL so I aim to try harder this year!

Right- this is the last stretch! I've had a good think and am going to do everything I can to try and clear my debt for my birthday as I'd originally planned before having to pay out money to prepare for selling my house.
I've looked at my finances in depth and if I can cut my expenses to £280 a month then I will hopefully manage this. This will be really tough for me as I'm already being careful and spending twice that!
This includes food, petrol and the odd meal out as a treat. I am basically planning to only spend money on essentials! More details later!...2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -

Great to see you Prim. Hope you've had a good Christmas and are all set for Hogmanny celebrations!
I'm sure you will be even more organised this year!
No date on the house yet- very slow start due to people being off over Christmas!
No chain involved and I'm on a fast track process so it could possibly be done in just over a month
I'm new to the crazy clothes challenge- we're definitely mad to even try this! I did really well earlier in the year when I did no new clothes as part of my 100 day challenges. Problem is I then tend to buy the odd thing in between when sales are on. Not a major problem but I really do have enough clothes- in fact too many! I've had a major declutter this year and I want to continue next year and not just buy even more! I'm also doing the use it or lose it challenge to keep me on track with dvds, music, clothes, toiletries and cleaning stuff.2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
Right- plan of action in term of challenges!
1. Limit spending to essentials until debt free and continue to be careful after that. 100 day challenges, crazy clothes challenge and use it or lose it challenge. Also NSDs each month and over whole year.
2. Meal planning and cut down grocery spending by doing grocery challenges.
3. PAD and the 1 debt in 100 day challenge to focus on getting debt free by my birthday for the debt free birthday club challenge!
That's pretty much all the plans for now. Other than trying to update on here regularly to keep on track!
Hope everyone has a good new year!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
Good luck with your challenges, I think you can do it, you are very positive. Happy new year if I don't catch up before.0
