Unfortunately we do not accept Travelex cash passport cards as valid Electron payment. These are cards that are issued by Post Offices, travel agents etc and are prepaid top up cards. As a result of this, when paying by this method a debit card fee will be incurred, which I note was the case.

Thanks mystic_trev. I read the guide in http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/beat-budget-airline-charges#avoid and then decided to go for a cash passport card and lost £30 + £4.58 (tesco commision) now. MSE.. please update this article asap so that others can escape from this ridiculous charge.

Funny how people will jump to blame the airline when it's actually their bank charging them.

so how do you get electron card that beats budget airline fees then ???

i was considering using the method OP described as it was mentioned in Martins budget airline guide . if this does not work it should be removed ASAP .

i have time so have no issues with opening up a bank account to get a electron card .
