My daughter just took a contract out with them because i wanted to avoid the carphonewarehouse group of companies ie OSPS, E2Save etc and because there are only two cashback claims.

Going to try dialaphone for myself in June.

i thought the cpw group were best companies to deal with for cashback reliability etc
just that some of the others have better offers. e.g. free line rental on xnet tariffs and with ok phones as well.

You wouldn't want to know the problems i'm having with Carphone Warehouse and OSPS
  • Sorry to hear u are having a bad time with the OSPS group,

i have signed up to a simply 3g contract in January and will be claiming sweet cash back soon!

hopefully i will received it otherwise - they are based in Woking which is not that far for me!

they seem quite good tho, time will tell!
  • This company are a waste of time

the cashback rules are so onerous - you have to send in all original bills within so many days or lose out.

I went through copied all my bills and then accidentally sent the copies. They received them but didn't tell me that claim was not valid as I had sent copies. Absolutely no correspondence whatsoever. When I finally got through on the phone they told me they had received my claim (well within deadlines) but that copies were not acceptable. Had they confirmed they were not paying at least I would have had time to resend.

Basically they will use any trick to make you lose out including not having any concept of basic customer courtesy. When I wrote to the MD to complain he ignored both my letters so I wrote to his home address - his response is just tough you failed to meet the criteria set out - but no comment about his own comapnies failures to correspond with customers with whom they have a contract. In such circumstances both parties have a duty to act dilligently.
