Hi there, I am looking for some advice regarding Orange mobile/ broadband.
I took another 18 month contract from Orange's Retention Department in Feb on the provision that I would receive FREE broadband to a new address once I had moved in (roughly stated June/July). I was informed that this wouldn't be a problem and just to call with the landline no. to activate broadband.
Last week I called with the landline no and asked to activate my free broadband. Female I spoke with was very helpful and explained that the line was not owned by Orange therefore I would have to pay £7 odds fee for broadband but as I had been promised it for free of charge she would credit my mobile account with £5 and further £3 to cover the cost.
Unfortunately Orange's systems were down at this time so she was unable to process this and I missed her call back the following day. Now however, I am being told that this is not possible and no notes were left detailing this offer.
Does anyone know if I can cancel my contract due to being given misinformation (which was admitted by a team ambassador)?

I believe all calls are recorded. I would ask for a transcript and take it up with them.0
