Good for you.:rotfl:0

Thanks "Chameleon", but I asked for advise of how to get rid of clover and not a lecture on "Love your clover".:D
I'm sorry you think I was trying to "lecture" you, far from it, just pointing out the benefits of actually keeping the clover in your lawns. Not all of us aspire to have bowling green type lawns
If you want to get rid of your clover then that is entirely up to you“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
I loved the clover in my lawn but hated the dandelions - my dad sprayed it with some weed and feed stuff - killed all my lovely clover and left half the manky dandelion so that might work for those of you who dislike clover (why??).
I agree with the clover lovers, clover is a nitrogen fixer and great in lawns!0 -
You all missing the point "clover lovers". This is not the lovely white clover that grows all over your lawn. This is a purple coloured one that grows in patches. I hope that somebody out there will give me an answer to my original request and not more lectures about how I love my clover.:j0

just get greenthumb in, costs less than buying loads of rubbish off the shelves and will killa all the weeds and get the grass growing nice and green! sorted!0

I've just come across this post as I too have a clover "problem", but after reading through the thread, I think I'll leave it and see how it goes. And I'll use some of the tips suggested by Lord_Gardener.0

Hi, i too would love to get rid of the clover although unlike the rest of the posts mine is for health reasons. My dog has an allergy to the stuff and is suffering quite badly, any tried and tested cures would be great but unsure what to use as it must not harm my dog0

I've got clover and think it's very pretty. The purple flowers are quite nice. I also have lots of dock leaves (I think) or they could be dandelion leaves and some huge flat thistles with curly roots. I think I may be losing the battle with the thistles. Is there a product that I can apply directly to the thistles to get rid of them?
I am reluctant to spend a lot of money. I bought some liquid plant food from the garden centre for over a fiver then saw it a few months later in the pound shop.0
