True, in the very short term, but in due course a thriving LA area will be able to generate higher income from rates/council tax, and that will feed back to the LA in higher revenues.

No, but it more profits would mean the business survived & not closed with zero rate income to LA and loads of boarded up shops deterring visitors

It changed sometime during the late 1960s. My late mother, bless her, was completely a-political, but this was the only political change she ever wanted to see. A few bob a week for her only child - me - would have made a huge difference to her.

Council chiefs keep pushing for more money from central Govt.

Funding is fixed for 2 years already though, so no immediate threat.The cost is £100 a year p.p.

Another typical gloom and doom non-story from the Daily Hate. Poisonous little rag - sours the lives of so many people who believe its bile and have their lives spoiled as a result. Funny thing is - a lot of the people buying it seem to think of it as a quality newspaper!
