  • Phew I have been rubbish the last couple of weeks. No chance to post. Been feeling a bit down about the whole money saving thing but seem to have sorted myself out now. I still havent had a chance to look for my documentation from Westcot to say the BT debt is not mine so I must do that this weekend or I'll be getting another letter from the other agency.

I'm annoyingly skint this month after my mad little spend finally catching up with me and a few extras we spent on on holiday. I have budgeted through the month though so should have enough to last me. I also have BF's birthday treat money saved in my account which has to be a first - normally I would have bought on credit.

Haven't paid much off the OD this month for above reasons but hoping to get back on track with the paying off next month. At the end of this month I should be getting a little payout for all my remaining holiday from last year (about £100 or so) so I think I'll use that to make a decent dent in the Capital One card. I looked at my credit report and thats one of the cards which shows all my payments down to the last penny - so I'm thinking larger payments would be better for sorting that out.

Sold not much on GM this week after my excellent start of two books a day. On the plus side I now have £23 to withdraw from last month to go in the book fund. So if I sell a few each month my books should fund themselves. I found a book I'd been searching for for a while on RISI the other day and the lovely lady agreed to swap, so I'm pleased about that free book too!

Mystery shopping paid out and managed to get a few more pounds on Quidco so it all seems to be going in the right direction. Slowly so slowly.......

  • Hmmm or it was. Seem to have an up and down week this week. And what is going on with Green Metropolis? not a single sale in nearly two weeks! I was getting two books a day all through September!

Not sure if it's the same with Amazon, but I find it goes in fits and starts! Won't have a bite for days, and then several sold at once - bit like bloomin buses!
  • It's very weird! Still not a single sale in the last two weeks! Crazy.

Haven't posted much lately as have been mad busy with work. I'm not sure what's wrong with me lately but I am so listless and unmotivated. I have absolutley no energy to do anything and although I want to I feel like the list of tasks I have to do is a massive weight on my shoulders. I still havent looked for the letter from Westcot, or sorted out clothes to chuck and ebay. Feeling quite fed up of feeling overweight, tired and guilty about everything I should be doing. I just find instead of doing one thing on my list I do nothing! I'm looking at my room now thinking I should sort out the wardrobe for ebay or something but just doing nothing instead. Have been feeling as if I am coming down with something for about two weeks now...am starting to wish it would just come so i can get out of this state of mind!

    Sorry to be depressing!

  • According to my fiddlings with Snowball Calc I have discovered I need to up my Mint card payment seriously to be able to hit my - by 30 target. Have done a new SOA based on this higher payment which leaves me very tight but I'm going to use it as a goal to stick to. Now I have learned to budget a bit better I think it's more possible I can do this. This is based on my paying off my Capital One card at the end of this month as I have osme extra cash in my pay from last years untaken holiday.

  • I should probably also explain - I have fiddled around and if I didn't save any money (under Holidays in the SOA) in the net 14 months then I would pay my debt off in September not in December. However two things 1. I rent and my lease will be up in July next year - would like some cushion for a new deposit if needed to move and 2. Havne't had holidays for the last few years but the one we had this year made such a difference to my stress levels so I'd rather leave some extra in the budget for going away with BF when we can. Seems a decent deal for two months extra.
