Hi All
I purchased a sony ericsson k750i from e-bay about 6 months ago,the phone was fine but then the screen seemed to be freezing at least 5 times a day,the only way i could seem to get the phone to work was to take out the battery and put it back in again, this process although a pain seemed to work fine untill the other week where it froze i took the battery out replaced it but the phone totally died-no life whatsoever
I have since taken it to a repair shop where they tried to flash the phone and replaced the battery but still no joy
I have e-mailed sony ericsson who have advised me to send the phone to them with proof of purchase(which i don't have) and the IEMI number(which i can't get without the handset powering up)
I know it's a long shot but if anyone else had this problem and has managed to rectify it or has any advice it would be greatly appreciated

hi,
take or send it to a decent phone repair shop. 95% of high street phone shops cannot even replace a bga chip.
there could be lots of reasons for your problem, its not easy to guess without seeing the phone.

You don't need to switch on the phone to find out your IMEI number. It is displayed on the actual phone under the battery.
I'm not sure if this link will help. Anyway, if it's a firmware problem then I think you can download the latest software from here? Otherwise if you haven't done so already to go to their Product Support site to find out more info.0 -
to get the imei number on a k750 you have to take the two screws out and lift the back cover of, its under the battery but you cannot see it when you take the battery out because it is further up.

Only hazarding a guess as I don't have the phone and I just assumed that's where it would be on most if not all phones.0

Does the handset power on atall? white screen? flashing screen?
Providing the phone isnt damaged internally it should be easily fixed with a firmware update\reflash0 -
IMEI details are located under the battery, but is quite difficult to see0
