BB, why would the machine need to wired into the wall? It should be a straightforward supply to the machine so could be fitted with a plug.
If your only connection point is a fused box in the wall its only a case of taking the front off and connecting ( with the power off! ). Yes I know that Regs say you are supposed to fork out for a Qualified Electrician, but
A bit late in the day now BB has bought one :T but my last washer was 'hard wired' into the wall. When my new one was delivered with a plug on it hard wiring it into the wall invalidates the warranty. So I had to have a plug put into my wall to plug the washing machine in....just so any peeps are aware..Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

BB - I've had my beko washer 4 years now - it's fab....my beko freezer laster 12 years which was pretty good going.
I had a washer dryer once......never again, the dryer part over heated, caused the wiring to catch fire....I was just on my way out the door when I saw the smoke....it melted the worksurface...that was quite impressive."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

I bought a Hotpoint..........I was going to go for a Bosch washing machine but went for the Hotpoint washer dryer. It is a 1600 spin they had on offer (can you hear the seeds of justification here?!) and whilst some seem to hate Hotpoint, some love them.
I have had a Philco and a Candy washer dryer in the past - the Philco was appalling...........really appalling........the only thing I've ever bought extended warranty on (young and naive  ) but bizarrely after a new motor, motor brushes, new door, door seal, 3 new valves, 2 new pumps plus all the labour time over 3 years (and that's what I can remember!) it turned out to be a good choice after all!
Right, going to rescue the handwashing in the sink - oh, the glamour of it all!!"Stay Wonky":D

More than you know Pepe...the gorillas that delivered (and were supposed to install it for me) where like 'not in my job description' 'elf and safety'. Luckily I had a man round doing some painting and he did it for me.
I have had the machine a year and I have just had my yearly unblocking of the pump (with coins, hairgrips and golf tees) and the man said 'did your machine make a lot of noise?' 'Yes' says I...
thats cos they have left the clamps on the drum that stops it moving whilst in transit.....d*ckheads:cool:Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford
