Anyone received one of these yet?  I am eager to see what they are like.

I literally received mine this morning (see my earlier post) and have only tried it out for 5 minutes. The players plays both my original and backup DVD's without fuss. The image quality is very good and screen size at 7" is adequate.

It appears easy to use. The only downside is the lid where you insert DVD's appears quite flimsy and it is slightly awkward to insert DVD's (maybe the spindle is slightly stiff at the moment). This may make it a little awkward for my 9 year old to use.

The headphones are fantastic (not your normal insert in the ear jobbies which I hate).

The battery life is reputedly 2.5 hours but also comes with in car charger.

Early days yet but so far so good.

    Hope this helps.

Does it play DVD+/- disks?Just read your previous post
How long was delivery from EBuyer?as above
Does it come with all necessary cables?
What is the additional case like that you bought?

I bought the Coby dvd player from ebuyer. I would agree with the above comments on the quality of the item. I also bought the Ronin carry case for 7" dvd players for £5. All this was ordered on Tues 28th Dec at 6pm. Delivery was due for Tues 4th Jan but I recieved the item today, Ebuyer upgraded the delivery .

The Venturer even comes with the carry case as well saving a further £10 ish. And, did you notice the message at the bottom of the page

[tt]This product may be substituted with a Venturer
    PVS-176W 6.5 inch or PVS-1770 7inch which is similar
    specification but cosmetically different.[/tt]

So may even get an upgrade to the 7" screen, especially if it goes faulty under warranty........

Is the Ronin case a car 'mounting' case or literally just a carry case?

    In answer to your questions;

    The earphones come with it?
The leads are Power Lead, Lead to connect to TV and a Car Charger.
It doesn't come with a carry case but the Ronin one I ordered from EBuyer for £5 is designed to secure itself to the car seat headrest.

    Hope this answers your queries.

    good luck.

The Ronin carry case has 2 straps that can be fixed onto 6 points on the case.
This allows it to be strapped to the rear of a car seat or between the two seats.

    :)
