My ex is taking our 17 year old daughter away for a fortnight

Caz - I'm PWC who doesn't receive any maintenance at all. I take my DD to airport and collect her to see her dad at my own expense. Have asked for travel costs recently as struggling (due to no child support from him due his being out of country and unwillingness to offer to pay support) Didn't get any, in fact my email request was ignored. I've done Christmas, Easter and recently 2 weeks ago, (got to airport only to have DD turned away by RYANair, the ex didn't check the policy on unaccompanied minors!!!) So much for her holiday with her Dad - he offered her an alternative the next day but made sure he told her it would cost loads to send her on another carrier, of course she didn't want to cause him further financial loss! Bless her.
I'd say your situation is unusual in that your husband is being very generous with the ex. I think that it something you should be very proud of him about. I can't help but wonder what my ex's new wife thinks about her wonderful (selfish) new husband! Other than, she gets to spend my child support perhaps? lol.
Well, what goes around will come around, and indeed, my ex's children (my children) are starting to turn away from their dad due to his behaviour with regards to supporting the one left who needs support (both financial and emotional!)
Just keep doing the right thing, and I agree with you not to be the one doing the 'bad mouthing'. Children don't need that and are intelligent enough to make up their own minds, if not now, they will.0
