I'm about to put in my first PPI claim from Creation Financial, could anyone give me some advice on how to go about it and where to write to? Is it the Solihull address? My PPI insurance premium that i have been payin since i took the store card, has pushed me up over my limit and now they are requesting the full amount.
Has anyone been successful in reclaiming their premium?
If anyone can help i would be really grateful - many thanks

Hello Roxy.;)
I expect there have been many here who have reclaimed against these, good luck with yours, I have come across this address here:
Name & Registered Office:
CREATION FINANCIAL SERVICES LIMITED
CHADWICK HOUSE
BLENHEIM COURT
SOLIHULL
WEST MIDLANDS
B91 2AA
In regards of reclaiming, they have 8 weeks to respond in full, keep at them until they resolve your complaint, or until you receive the final decision, where in the final response they should give you details of the financial ombudsman service (FOS), if your not happy with the outcome of your complaint you should be able to go this direction, also post all letters by recorded delivery, as this will be your proof of posting.
For more information on PPI reclaiming with a useful mis selling checklist and templates, give your reasons for how you believe you were mis sold.

I take it it was the above company that arranged and sold you the finance then and not a broker?
Good luck with this and please post up for help when needed and keep us posted, cheers.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Thanks very much for replying. I've downloaded the letter templates, so I will get it done and send it off tomorrow to the address you've given and see what happens.
It was a store card that I took out years ago which was Duet I think, but I can't remember ticking the box to have PPI, but I imagine that I didn't have much choice in it and just signed the paperwork.
I will certainly let you know how I get on - going to claim from all of the companies that I have I've got PPI premiums!:T0 -

I agree it is a rip off, and thankfully people are not letting these companies get away with it any more!
I'm from the SWales Valley's - so not too far away from u I don't expect.
Thanks again for your help, and if I need anything else, then I'll ask u if thats ok?

I have referred a PPI claim for Creation to the Ombudsman who have written back and informed me that in 2002 Creation was not a member of the GISC or the FOS at this time. They go on to say they may be able to pursue a complaint against the underwriter of the insurance. I have been asked to check my documentation and policy booklet. I do not recall receiving a policy booklet and I certainly do not have one now so how can I get this info? Does anyone know who the underwriters were in 2002 for Creation 3D?
On another note I have another two complaints registered with the FOS against Egg (online PPI) and HSBC credit card. The FOS has written back stating my complaints were submitted over 6 months after the "final response" letter from each company. I have written back highlighting that on both of these letters they provide the FOS details but do not clearly specify that this is their final response on the letter. I have challenged both companies decisions before referring them to the FOS, hence the delay, as I tried to be persistent. The letters that they state eg "this represents **** final decision on the matter" are the dates I have used when referring my complaint to the FOS. Is this correct? I was under the impression the company in question had to clearly state "final response" before the FOs would investigate.
Thanks in advance0 -

Hi there
Happy to hear they are going to look into the underwriter side of it, I have also resubmitted mine again to the FOS, due to the same reason as yours, although I did not have the policy at first, but did then write to the loan company and requested they post this out to me, hopefully you can do the same where they will post you this as well, as I did not actually have this policy document with my loan in 2004 either.
I will try checking this out for you though as well okay hun.;)

Are the FOS still looking into this for you.
If not ask them to reconsider as you find this confusing.
If they do not keep hold of them, then write back to the banks involved as a "brand new complaint" then wait for a final decision if they do not uphold this time round.
But hopefully the FOS will consider still taking this on anyway, good luck and please let us know how you get on.

Just to be sure is "Creation 3D" the actual full name of the loan business?
Were these the ones that arranged and sold you the finance?
Just making sure before I try to check out more info on them for you?;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
If you have the paperwork, like the agreement etc, check the firm ref number, as I just checked on the FSA Register firm search and found this info here:
Authorised 14/01/2005

Tel number: 0121 712 9000

Company firm number: 165468.
You could email the above details and request they send you a copy of the policy document on the finance taken out in 2002, this policy should enclose details of the underwriter/insurer.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
That's great, thanks Di. I'll try e-mailing for the policy details. It was a Duet card provided by Creation Financial Services. On the application and their letters they refer to the PPI as Creation 3D. They're a nightmare to deal with - their excuses are appalling. The ticks don't even match on the form and they've conveniently marked the boxes i filled in with an 'X' but surprise surprise there is no 'X' next to the box for PPI. They even bounced this fact back with an excuse!
The FOS have said they'll ask HSBC and Egg if they object to them looking at my complaint if I do not have a exceptional circumstances as to why the 6 months has passed. I wrote back explaining the confusion - and also highlighted the fact that certainly the HSBC letter giving the FOS details was also covering a seperate loan where they made an offer and that the Egg complaint was challenged as they sent additional information with each rejection letter. If the first letters are classed as the final decision then the banks are just bouncing complaints straight away and referring to the FOS without all points being covered.
On a more positive note I was offered £896.00 from Barclaycard:j. Prior to accepting I used MSE's interest calculator and found the figure should be £1083.00, they undercalculated the insurance by £200. I've written back requesting they pay this amount. I've never been more pleased to have kept all of my statements (since 2003!). Fingers crossed.
I'll keep you posted......:D0
