Can someone on here describe the bottles you can buy and get free refills? Just wondering if they are the same as the alton towers ones?0

For the Q-bot, it is different from the ticket. It's more of a gadget. You can get it on the day - the kiosk is right after the gates. The queues for it were quite long though so if you are sure about it, reserve it online.
They have two queues at the kiosk and the one for online reservation just sailed past. They do take an imprint of your credit card to ensure that the Qbot gadget is returned. Once it is, they will hand over the credit card imprint to you.
I am not too sure about the Alton Towers drinks refills. But the one for Legoland is a nice tall, sturdy plastic cup (similar to McDs largest), has a fitted lid with straw and a strap. Quite a good an cheap souvenir, me thinks! (although I was partial to the candy floss tub with the viking helmet) :rotfl:0 -
whoops sorry! you can book the q-bot on the legoland website.0

We're going to Legoland on Sunday, can someone confirm that the drinks refills are free once you purchase your first drink??
Has anyone used the exit stamps designed for quick entry to rides for those with special needs. Where do i get them from? We have all the proof of disability that we need, i just wondered where we get them from when we get there?
Thanks0 -
I wouldnt waste your money on legoland.... we waited 3 hours for a ride that would be the worst if it was at alton towers...
The food was also rip off.0 -

Not 100% sure about LegoLand but the cups at Chessington and Thorpe Park are the same as the Alton Towers ones. However the receipt was scrutinised by the servers at TP so not much point taking an old one with you !!0 -

Don't know about the drinks but the exit passes are available at Guest Services just to the right of the entry turnstyles. We have gone previously with a friend who has a child with special needs and found that some of the rides they won't allow the whole group to go on together (some limit it to 4)0 -
We didn't buy the drink cups, as my children prefer water, but I did see that the cups were £5.90 and saw signs up at hot dog/candy floss type stands saying refill your drinks here. Like above poster says I saw that the cup holder handed over the cup and receipt to get it refilled. I think I would buy one of the cups and bring along some disposable cups and fill cups for the family out of it, as there are a lot of stands dotted about and saves you carrying luke warm heavy drink bottles. I also noted they have disabled badge holder parking near the entrance, so follow the signs for this too, when you have a disabled child. I think the disabled children queue at the qbot entrance as saw several families with children in wheelchairs at the boating school. My advice would be to get there for 9.30am as they start selling tickets at that time and guest services also opens then. They let people through the ticket barriers at about 9.40am, go to the main entrance barrier (to the left), and stand by the sweetie shop and try to be first on the hill train, first right past the barrier/sweetie shop and go on the shooting ride (in Eygptian tent in front) as you will find a huge queue later, then run around to the boating and car schools, as these get very busy. If you get there early you can get a lot done by 11am. Also if possible, a day with a poor weather forecast is the best time to go as the park is less busy. I would plan to eat my lunch early at noon by the adventure show bit. If you can, put swim wear under the children's clothes as they have a great water bit, that they can strip off in the afternoon and run around in, when you have done a number of rides, also tucked away by this is the fairytale water ride, which is fun and hardly ever has big queues when I have been, so you can go on this often a few times. Leave things like the big train ride and 4d shows until later on, as these take time and are usually not that busy that you can't get on or into them. Like others have said the food is quite expensive (however as an nauual pass holder we get 20% off food) and not great IMO, it is worth bringing sandwiches and snacks with you in a picnic type ruck sack-you just leave it with the ride attendant.0

shame you can't get the q-bot with the tesco vouchers. It seems it is Legoland's way of making more money, or getting money back from people who use discounts to get in!0

definitely worth buying the refillable drink, as it means you dont have to carry around a days worth of drinks, and you only need to buy one and share it - i dont understand people who buy one for every person in their party, what a waste of money
I wouldnt bother paying for the Q-bot either, at this time of year all rides have long queues, so you prob wont have time to fit in another ride whilst its 'queueing' for you - also it means you have to stay in that part of the park, to wait for your timeslot, so it eats into your time even more
best thing is to have a plan and be at the park when it opens, and head straight for your must-have ride, you can usually get on, within a few minutes. And again, at the end of the day, alot of people start to leave the park from about 4pm, so the queues start to get alot smaller then, so thats another good time to head for the big rides
we tend to get to the park for opening, and go down the slope to the right of the park, behind the shop - this takes you straight to Vikingland, and onto the popular River Splash. also if you get on this ride early in the day, the seats are still dry, so you dont get too wet - then head over to the back of the park and work work your way round anti-clockwise. this way, you are working in the opposite direction to the majority of people, so you tend to be in areas, that most people have already done, or have not got to yet. working it this way, you usually end up in the water park (take towels and change of clothes for kids) around lunchtime, so the adults can get a good sit-down whilst the kids can run around freely
A 4-d shows is a must-see, but the queues are long, and there is a limit on how many they can let in per show - prob best to choose which one you want to see, and get there in time for that - you wont have time to see all the films on a one day visit, you may even have trouble fitting in the whole of the park
