3D Films at Vue - Orange Wednesday

I've just receive a response from Vue :
Please be advised that when buying tickets with Orange Wednesday, additional charges apply for 3D, Superior Seats, Gold Class, Over 18s and Evolution'. The offer applies to standard seats only. As you purchased 3D tickets you would have paid the extra charge on the free ticket as this covers the cost of the 3D glasses. Looking again it does say "standard seats" on Orange's t&cs, but I'd have read that as not the whizzy extra wide seats, and the Vue faqs (which I couldn't find before) do also point out extra charges. So I guess it's a fair cop, except it still isn't 2 for 1 :huh:

I suppose we should be grateful Cineworld dont do this too! Shhh - no-one tell them! :lipsrseal

That maybe the case now, up until recently Ive never had to pay extra to see a 3-D film.

Please be aware the additional cost is a surcharge applied by Orange and something we have no control over, I am sorry if you feel this is against the promotion however this is charged by Orange and not Vue cinemas. Therefore, if you wish to discuss this matter further please raise your concerns with Orange directly.

Hmmmm... Not sure I will chase Orange over this, in case they make Cineworld do it to. Probably more MSE-wise to simply avoid 3D at Vue on Orange Wednesdays from now on. Live and learn...!
