3D Films at Vue - Orange Wednesday

Options
I've just come back from Vue in Sheffield. I usually go to Cineworld, and get 2 for 1 tickets to 3D films, for £6.90. Went to Vue for a change, knowing it was more expensive per ticket but needing to do some shopping afterwards. I was gobsmacked to be charged £8.05 for an adult ticket, which included the £1.75 adult 3D supplement), and then to be charged an extra £1.30 child 3D supplement. So I didn't get 2 tickets for the price of 1 at all, just shelled out £9.35! And this was to watch G-Force as well - 4 rodents being chased by coffee machines bent on world domination, so it was adding insult to injury!
Ok it's not a lot in the grand scheme of things, but does anyone know if Vue are allowed to do this? I can't see anything on Orange Wednesdays' terms and conditions, nor on Vue's website, so I've emailed both and will post any reply I get.

I have a Cineworld pass and have to pay extra for 3-D films even though it doesnt say anything about that in their t&c's!

They clearly state that there is a premium for 3D films!

I have a cineworld pass as well, and although i did see the paying extra for 3D in their T&C's, i have never actually had to pay anything yet - and that is with a 12 year old who insists on seeing every 3D film there is!!

I do use a CEA card at the same time, i wonder if that makes any difference:confused:
  • I got ripped off for this last Weds when I went to see ice age 3d,got charged £10.75 instead of the usual £7.50, so had to do without a snack it
  • I accept there's a premium for 3D, and I paid that - £8.05 instead of £6.30 for one adult ticket (extra £1.75 for adult 3D), but that should've then entitled me to another ticket for free, surely? No response to my emails yet, but they state a minimum 24hr response time...

We went to watch G-Force at Cineworld today using the Orange wednesday thing, I was impressed that we did actually only pay for 1 ticket and 1 3D glasses and the other free. I was expecting to have to pay extra for the glasses.

What a fab film, I can't wait until next week and I think i'll go again. In the meantime i'm going to try and train my Guinea Pigs so be secret agents :D:D
