Cairo attractions admission fees?

In the brochure of Thomas Cook who I booked my holiday through it says the fees to see the Pyramids are £75 each and for the Egypt Museum are £25 each. Yet I've just been on a site about admission fees to these attractions and it says that the admission fees for the pyramids is 40 Egypt pounds which translates to £3.59 in UK sterling. So which one of these is right? Anyone been there?

my daughter has been and that looks like the price for the excursions that the reps do0

Does the brochure price include transport, services of a rep, meal, ride on a bad tempered camel, anything else in addition to entrance to the sites?0
-
It doesnt say what it includes but my hotel is going to be 15 minutes walk from the pyramids and you can see them from your hotel balcolny so it's not like it should be a long ride in a coach.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

Ok - how about checking the T Cook brochure again to make sure they're quoting GBP and not EGP. Sounds like you're at or near Mena House, I'm sure they'll be able to organise transport and admission for you for a heck of a lot less than £75 and £25. Enjoy your holiday - Egypt is utterly amazing.0

Were staying at the Meridien Pyramids hotel. I've just looked and it's definately £75 and £25 each in UK money they are quoting.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

This is from the Discover Egypt holiday company - quite a difference in price for the Pyramids but the same price for the museum.

Thanks. I think that must include the travel to them and the services/knowledge of a rep. Not all Egyptian hotels are 15 mins walk from the pyramids obviously so I think they are prices for people in hotels in other parts of Egypt.
I might put a post on virtual tourist and see what they have to say about it.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -
why not just take a cab to the pyramids?
that's what we did.0 -
if you are staying in cairo then take a cab, if outside then you can book through your hotel we just came back in march and all the trips were cheaper to do your self or book through the hotel. the holiday companies were double the price and they just ended up sending everyone together anyway no matter how much you paidIT'S ALL ABOUT ME!!!:j:money:0
