Very efficient ISA transfer

In case it is of help to anyone considering ISA transfers I have just transferred my cash ISA's from NS&I to Northern rock, and it was done very quickly and efficiently (IMHO), I took the completed documents into my local NR office on Frid 24th July and the transfer took place on Aug 3rd and all documents were received back yesterday (Tuesday), this seems a good service to me.

(FWIW I transferred my NS&I Direct ISA paying 1.3% to a NR Fixed ISA paying 3% for 12 months.)

Similar here. A&L to NR. Took about ten days. Yup, impressed.

Did you open up a ISA for this tax year and then transfer the NS&I one in or just do an ISA Transfer?
