Question - at what point does PREFERENCE become DISCRIMINATION ?
For instance if I rented out the 'granny' annex of my house would it be discrimination to favour someone who spoke my language, had similar values, worked the same hours as me and could provide extensive references and a substantial deposit?
If earlier in the day I had rejected a non English speaking unemployed Somalian asylum seaker on the social would this be discrimination because I choose to deceide who I feel most comfortable living nearby?
Have I commited discrimination?
Can a landlord say 'NO DSS', 'NO PETS' or 'NO CHILDREN' anymore?
Just questions from an enquiring mind. Would there be any difference if I was renting out another house away from my residence?0
